Looks like Engine 3 lost its brakes again. When this engine was new its brakes would overheat easily. I was on a call at Wheel Estates when a new alarm came in for a car fire on Curran Hgwy. Bill Roberts was driving. Half way down the hill our brakes gave way. Only his skill kept us from having a "mishap". We even went on to put out the darned car fire.

Engine 3 with brake problem. This truck went through a over haul and is now known as rescue 3. It is a reserve piece with a new back section.

Engine 3. The truck was rebuilt as rescue 3 and was a reserve piece till a few years ago. The truck is now retired and up for sale. At last word it was being stored at the old car dealership on Union St.
