Can you name any of the people?
This is a picture of my Mother, Theresse C. Koonz (Mrs. Joseph H. Koonz, Sr.)

Can you name the location?
painting class at the Spitzer Center on Ashland Street.

Comments...
My Mother died on September 3, 1982. After my Father died, she decided to go to painting class, and as you can see from this picture, became a very accomplished artist. The picture on the right hung in the office of Dr. Martien A. Mulder for many years until he retired. Mary G. Dailey was a close friend of our families from the time we moved to North Adams in November of 1946. Isn't it providential that on today, the day Mary G. passed away, that her good friend "Tessie" had her picture and her paintings on the internet for all of her children, grandchildren and friends to see on their computers. Thank you for publishing it.

The Koonz family lived accross the street from me in the late 40's. It brought back memories to see Mrs. Koonz on this web site.

Mrs Joseph Koonz Sr

Comments...
It is rather amusing to find out, after 60 years, what Mrs Koonz's first name was (Theresse). To us kids in the neighborhood she was 'Mrs Koonz', that absolutely wonderful woman with "the patience of Job" for putting up with the "Jackson St. crew of kids". She was always there for us as well as her own children. Great lady.
