whats sad is the Donovan house is on the condemned list and probably will will be taken down in 2010 or 2011 this was a beautiful house in its day lots of ginger bread ANYWAY THIS PARTICULAR SPOT FLOODS I HAVE SEEN ROW BOATS HEAR SO THAT CITY WORKERS COULD DIG DRAINS OUT

I lived for a time with my Mom, Rose Shapiro and Grand Parents, Joe and Minnie Shapiro in the house and have wonderfull memories. Thought I would never see this image again. Thank you so much for having it on your web page. I remember packing the eggs in the basement and delivering to residents in my Grandpa's truck. I left in 1956.I would love to see more pictures. Is the Dononvan house still there?

i'm sad to say the Donovan house is gone lost in 2010 to years of theft and neglect i remember the beautiful forsythia bush in front blooming every april it had such a beautifull vibrant shade of yellow . anybody remember it ??

I remember I had a friend named Susan that I thought lived in the Donovan house. I remember as kids in the 50's we used to chase lightening bugs in the yard. Susan moved away because her or someone in her family (maybe her Dad)had a lung problem and they had to move to a dry climate. I lived in the Shapiro house during the 50's until I moved to Arizona with my parents.Can someone tell me is the Shapiro 2 story house still there. I looked on the internet but I am not sure whether they tore it down. I sure have wonderful memories of that time.
