The store is now gone - trooper Mott is now the shed man and Briggsville Corner has been mostly straightened

I believe the young lady was "Annie" Chung. Do any of you remember when the store was owned by Phil Fosser's Mom & Dad? Phil and my father were 1st cousins. Roy Lee. In fact, my Dad used to live with them for a while. I remember the night that it burned. What a "holocaust"!!! I could see it from my house. I tip my hat to the Clarksburg Volunteer Fire Dept.. The house next door, about 15 feet from the store, only got scorched. When the siren went off, and I looked out, the entire store was engulfed. I really believed that the entire Briggsville section, on that side of the road was going to burn. Take a bow, C.V.F.D.!!! Rusty Lee.

I stopped there many times on my way walking home from school as a kid, penny candy etc...
