| Can you name the location? Fort Mass. on State road Posted: 05/13/2001 What was the Season? summer Can you name the location? Posted: 05/13/2001 Comments... This is the fireplace left over from the old Fort Massahcusetts next to Price Chopper. It's really to bad that the old for was torn down. I can remember eating there when it was a restaurant and my cousin's wedding reception was held there. The market was probably still called Central City Market or just plain Central Market (the original name) when this picture was taken. I think it's funny that yesterday , while coming out of Price Chopper ,I noticed it for the first time...and today here it is. Posted: 05/28/2001 Comments... Yes, Fort Massachussetts, many fond memories. My wedding reception was held there in 1946 and 8mm movies were taken at the time and when I review them, many of the relatives and guests have passed on, but, the recall of the time period is priceless. I lunched there many time before it closed down. What memories are awakend with this and many other photos recorded by Randy. He was a special man. John P. Dubreuil P. C. I remember looking at it in wonder...made the indians and the settlers real...probably not even 200 years before I even saw it...it is something I will never forget! Such a shame it wasn't kept as a tribute to our past...you can't replace stuff like that. Posted: 01/26/2010 Can you name the location? State Road, North Adams Comments... Posted: 09/09/2011 |
