From what I can see, I'm guessing that the building in the background is the Brown Street mill, with the Electric Company transformers to the left. The two people may be looking at the demolition of some of the old houses on the north side of the street, or perhaps the construction of the Salvation Army building.

dolly's probably watching them demolishing the remains of her home on river street were the the north Adams ambulance service is located now . i believe they had a bad fire there some time in the 80s
