Can you name the location?
looks like the old taylor variety store on river st. at the corner of veazie st.

if this is the store at least one person was killed in it from the apartments upstairs- afterwards it became lepels store

If this was Taylors Market, the year would have been 1959/l960. Ronald Gray was in Miss O'Keefe's 4th class at Johnson School and died in that fire.

i dont belive this is taylors store because taylors store because i belive was a three story brick building& after the fire lost its third story

i know for sure it was taylors because i used to work there after school and on weekends stacking the empty soda bottles in cases and helping the owner marty taylor out in the store - also rita scott was an employee there that worked the register - the person who died in the fire was in our class and his name was david grey

This is NOT Marty's Store, Magnolia Terrace was right next to it and my Grandfather Anthony Parrino live there, So I went by there everyday. Marty's store was on the ground floor all brick and there were three floors of apartments above. I remember watching the building burn and the horrible death of some one jumping out the window to escape the flames.

this picture is not taylors store the the two story brick buildning use to be three is taylors store and is now used as a soup kitchen. werent thir more than one persons who died in that fire?

366 Clough Road. House was owned by the Bohl family at the time of the fire. Not sure on the date probably mid to late 70's
