Faculty member at the Campus School, Marcia Gross (now Director of the North Adams Public Library) set up this dark room and taught students how to take photos, develop the film, make prints, and enlarge photos. This was a wonderful school--ask anyone who taught there or who was a student there.

Mark Hopkins School was the best - one full time teacher and a half year student from NASC teaching program as an apprentice, plus a teacher aide in the lower grades. A century of excellence and the State decided to pull the plug (North Adams had the funding all set). I still miss it. Those forced to finish at Conte Middle School got a raw deal. What a loss.
